Steuerwald, Mr./Mrs. Fred (50th - 4 OCT 1942)

On Sunday afternoon, Oct. 4, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Steuerwald, 1533 North Ninth street, Sheboygan, Wis., observed their golden wedding anniversary in the presence of relatives and friends at their home.

About 1900 Mr. and Mrs. Steuerwald moved to Clark County, where they took up farming as a lively for several years. Later they sold their farm and began a farm implement and hardware store in Loyal.

During the first World war the implement business was traded for a farm and logging camp in Marathon county, northeast of Marshfield. In 1923 the family moved to Plymouth and resided on a farm until 1925, when they moved to Sheboygan, their present home.

At present Mr. Steuerwald is employed as yard foreman at the Forest Veneer Company. Although Mrs. Steuerwald is 72 and her husband 71, they both enjoy good health.
