Kronberger, Barbara (3 JAN 1864 - 1 DEC 1942)

Mrs. Barbara Kronberger, a resident of the town of York for 48 years, died Tuesday evening at 6:30 after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Seidelmann, at 1 p.m. Friday and at 2 o’clock at Trinity Lutheran church in Loyal. An obituary will be published in the Tribune next week.

Barbara Rosina Kronberger passed away at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Seidelmann, following an illness of about six weeks. The cause of her death was cancer.

The deceased was born on Jan. 3, 1864, at Wittenberg, Germany. In 1878 she came to the United States and settled in Jefferson, Wis. On May 26, 1978, she was united in marriage to Leonhard Kronberger at Fort Atkinson, Wis.

They lived at Jefferson for seven years before moving to Loyal and moved to a farm in the Township of York. Pioneers in Clark county, they spent their years of married life clearing their land and farming until Nov. 29, 1925, when Mr. Kronberger was called by death.

The deceased was baptized and confirmed at Wittenberg, Germany, and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Eleven children were born, all of whom survive. They are: John, Mrs. Paul (Minnie) Feder, George, Mrs. William (Rose) Seidelmann, Mrs. Carl (Leona) Sischo, Leo, Arthur, Molly, Mrs. Frank (Caroline) Morse, Frank and Mrs. Orville (Clara) Kalkofen, all residing in Clark county.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 4, from the William Seidslmann home at 1 p.m., and from the Trinity Lutheran Church here at 2 p.m. Burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Goetz, John Knoll, Jake Anderegg, Vern Millard, Ed Morse and William Benedict.

Those from away attending the funeral were Mrs. B. B. Yaspelkis, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. E. Kronmueller, and Mrs. Harry Saur, Fort Atkinson; Mr. and Mrs. John Knoll and Wenzel Meitner, Pittsville; Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Kuehn and son Norbert, Greenwood; Mrs. Anna Garbush, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Handke, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Seidelmann, Mrs. Walter Schultz and Mrs. Herbert Keller, Neillsville.

The Tribune joins the many friends of the deceased in extending sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
