Foote, Blanche #2 (6 SEP 1904)

Rather a surprise, by the way. It was a quiet wedding, out at the Foote farm home on Pleasant Ridge (Clark Co., Wis.), at 8:30 Tuesday, evening, Sept. 6, 1904.

Miss Blanche Foote was married to Mr. Fred J. Mathwig, by Rev. G. W. Longenecker, in the presence of immediate relatives only.

The groom is a railway postal clerk, with a run from Chicago to Chippewa Falls, and is a young gentleman of high character. The wife he has won is a charming young lady, of high mental endowments, a normal school graduate, who was born and has grown to womanhood here. They left at once for Milwaukee to visit the state fair, going to the World’s Fair from there, then to Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago, to a home that awaits them.
