Funeral services for Herman H. Henning, 78, were held on Friday afternoon from the funeral home in Marshfield. Burial was made in the Yolo Cemetery at Chili. He died on Wednesday at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where he had been a patient about a week.
Mr. Henning was born April 6, 1870, at New Holstein. He came with his parents to Chili at an early age and received his education there. In 1891 he purchased a hardware and farm implement store in Chili and continued in this business until 1917, when he moved to Marshfield.
In 1900 he was married in Marshfield to Cora Fraser, who survives. Four children were born to them, two of whom survive. They are Curtiss of Marshfield and Maynard of Renton, Wash. Also surviving are three sisters, Katherine and Mary Henning of Marshfield and Mrs. Anna Mundt of Chili.
