Schultz Family Reunion (Dorchester - 25 May 2008)

The descendants of the late George and Emma Schultz, Abbotsford, gathered at the Dorchester Park for a family reunion on Sunday, May 25, 2008.

Families of George and Emma’s 10 children came from Arizona, California, Florida, Minnesota and all parts of Wisconsin.

Their children who have passed on are Lydia Friemund, Lorna Schmeltzer, Lucille Waldhart, Clarence Schultz, Juanita (Red) Leichtnam, Wallace Schultz and Merlie Cole.

Grandchildren who have passed on are Terry Cole, Bobby Friemund, Dorothy Schultz and Richard Cole. All are remembered dearly by the family.

The remaining children, Tudie Fischer, Carmen Broeske, Clyde Schultz and Jean Schultz, the late Wally Schultz’s wife, were honored with yellow rose corsages.

A catered meal was provided for 125, which included descendants and spouses. Prayer was led by grandson Ronald Schultz. The cake decorated for the occasion was served before the activities were wrapped up. A DVD was shown and made available from pictures proved by the family. The next reunion will be in two years.

The celebration committee for this occasion was Wayne and Laurie Waldhart, Ralph and Mary Waldhart, Bonnie and Jerry Zygowicz, and RaeJean and Allan Kaatz.

George and Emma Schultz had 10 children, 47 grandchildren, 129 great grands, 156 great great grands and 14 great great greats, making it six generations. Total descendants are 356 according to one count by Brad Schultz, 358 according to Tudie Fisher.
