Kaucnik, Louise A. (Marriage - 18 August 1948)

At 2:00 o’clock on August 18, (1948), Miss Louise A. Kaucnik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vencie Kaucnik of Owen, became the bride of Thomas B. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Miller of Withee. The small, informal ceremony was performed in the home of the groom’s parents, before members of the immediate families, by the Rev. L. C. Bundgaard, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church. The home was decorated with garden flowers.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a suit of Alice blue, with white accessories, and a corsage. Her maid of honor was Miss Phyllis Wilkins, who wore a gray suit with white accessories.

The groom’s brother, J. Edward Miller, served as best man.

The couple took a trip to the north woods and is living for the present at the farm home of the groom’s parents, where the groom has been living and working.

A wedding dance will be held at Merry Ol’ Gardens this evening (Thursday).
