Dins, Albert (31 Dec. 1898 - 27 Oct. 1956)

Albert Dins died suddenly of a heart attack in Colby Saturday evening at 8:00 o’clock at the age of 67 years. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home at 1:30 o’clock and at Zion Lutheran church at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Mr. Dins was born in Colby, Wisconsin on December 31, 1898. He married Edna Mandel in Colby, Wisconsin on June 27, 1928. He is a graduate of Colby High School and attended Lawrence College, Appleton, and the University of Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. army for a short period during World War I after which he was bookkeeper at the Harmony Co-operative Produce Co. for two years. At the age of 21, he and Walter Wiersig entered into a partnership and operated a feed store in Colby until the time of his death.

He served the city of Colby as assessor for several terms, was clerk of the Colby Graded School a number of terms, a member of Zion Lutheran church board several years and a member of the Colby Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving are his wife, three children, Allen, Paul and Rita Rae, all of Colby, and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Staffeil, Mrs. Walter Wiersig and Mrs. William Ebert, all of Colby, Wis. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Dins was well and favorably known here as an enterprising business man, who, with his partner, by honest dealings, built up a fine business. Being of a congenial and kindly disposition, he had many friends who were shocked to learn of his sudden death.
