Siewert, Martha (19 AUG 1939)

Edwin A. Mantik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mantik of Milan, and Miss Martha Siewert of Gleason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Siewert of Gleason, were united in marriage a the home of the bride’s parents at Gleason, on Saturday afternoon, in a double ring ceremony by the Rev. John Timm, pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle of Shawano. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Timm.

The bride wore a beautiful rose gown of dusty rose lace over rose satin and carried an arm bouquet of garden flowers. Her maid of honor, Miss Frieda Venzke, Milan, wore an orchid gown and the bridesmaid, Miss Evelyn Alther, Minneapolis, wore a blue gown. Both carried mixed bouquets. Two little nieces of the bride, Ann and Elaine Drewitz of Merrill, acted as flower girls. The groom’s attendants were Fred Siewert, brother of the bride, and Howard Drewitz of Merrill.

The bride is a graduate of the North Central Bible Institute of Minneapolis. The groom resides on a farm near Milan where they will make their home.

A reception was given after the ceremony to about fifty guests.

The couple are spending their honeymoon in northern Wisconsin.
