Gierl - Koepke

Patricia Gierl and Mark Koepke were united in marriage on June 28, 2008, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Edgar. Pastor Matthew Christians presided.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Katherine Gierl of Abbotsford and the groom is the son of Neal and Anna Koepke of Edgar.

The bride wore a designer satin dress with intricate beading and embroidery work on the bodice and ballroom skirt. The dress had a chapel-length organza train with exquisite beading and embroidery work. The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Wiita, Superior, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Alisha Phillippi, Cadott, friend of the bride, Andrea Witta, Superior, cousin of the bride, Kylee Smith, Milwaukee, friend of the bride, and Jill Hinrichsen, Abbotsford, friend of the bride.

Ushers were Nick Kavajecz, Bob Leffel and Brad Wendtland, all friends of the groom.

Flower girl was Crystal Witta, Superior, cousin of the bride, Ring bearer was Kalob Yaeger, Athens, nephew of the groom.

Kelly Kloth, Dorchester, was the pianist, Jim Witta, Superior was the vocalist, which he accompanies with his guitar.

A reception was held at Best Western Midway Ballroom, Wausau, for 300 guests.

The bride is a social worker at Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. The groom is currently a junior at UW-Eau Claire pursing a degree in athletic training.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and reside in Eau Claire.
