R.A. Masters is reported on the sick list.

The Ladies Aid Society will meet with Mrs. Alex Shanks on Friday, Feb. 4.

John Wuethrich went to the windy city on business a couple of days last week.

The next regular meeting of the M.W.A. will be next Thursday evening, Feb. 10.

John Stevens of Waupaca is the guest of his brother, the proprietor of "Little Hell."

Mrs. H.W. Varney of Greenwood visited her sister-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Withee, last week. (Rep & Press)

Mr. A. McKenna, who has been visiting with his parents wouth of town, left Saturday for Mandau where he is employed.

Charles lusk and Miss Viola Pfunder of Owen, were Sunday visitors at the home of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Pfunder.

H.W. Hunt, who has been on the sick list for a number of weeks past, is reported as impriving, which news we are pleased to report.

Charles Smith is reported on the sick list. We hope there is nothing serious with Charles, and that he will be able to be out soon.

The department of commerce and labor will hold their tests for the position of census enumerator in the schoolhouses at Neillsville and Withee for Clark County on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Since the change in the order of the mail to an earlier hour, Agent Barlow says that he never realized the evenings were son long before -- he don't know what to do with himself now.

After our snowstorm last week, the eather cleared off fine and the past week has been seven days of the most ideal winter weather. 10 degrees below is the lowest that has been reported to us this week.

James Turnbolt of Hayward came yesterday morning for a visit with his daughter, Mrs. N.J. Carter. Mr. Turnbolt, in spite of his 94 years, is a hale and hearty old man, and made the trip to this city all alone.

H. Kauffman and Frank Schroeder of Sauk City, Wis., are in this city selling Kalamazoo, Mich., silos. They recently place silos on the farms of Clem Esselman, John Bushman, Frank Halkney, Wm. Youngs and Wm. Benjamin.

John Wuethrich went to Iron Mountain, Wis. Tuesday, having received word that his father had received a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. John Drummond also left on the same train, going to Necedah, Wis., having received word that her mother had received a stroke of apoplexy.
