Nelson, Marian (Marriage - 21 November 1948)

Marian Lewerenz Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lewerenz of Neillsville, became the bride of Frank Mohr of Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Noel, Sunday, November 21, (1948). The double ring ceremony took place at 2 p.m. in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, in the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pelnar, the couple’s only attendants. The Rev. William Lauterbach officiated.

The bride wore a street length gown of navy blue taffeta and her flowers were rosebuds and white pompom chrysanthemums.

A reception and dinner for 18 guests was given in the Lewerenz Sweet Shop Blue Room after the wedding. Tables were decorated with mums, palms and candles.

Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Letto and family of Wausau.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School, and the groom of Lane Tech High School in Chicago.

The couple left Tuesday for Chicago, where they will make their home at 1836 N. Central Park Ave. Mr. Mohr is employed at the Gibson Spring Company in Chicago.
