SCHOOL NOTES

The construction class have completed the new November poster and have added the pictures of the "Fairy Shoemaker" to our border.

We have a new health calendar for November.

The first grade language class learned the finger play "The Clouds."

The second grade language class studied the story of "Billy Whisker’s first Halloween" and made story pages about the apple.

The third grade geography class is studying about different kinds of homes in the United States.

The third grade language class memorized the poem "Fraidie-Cat."

The fourth grade language class studied synonyms and the picture "Androa" by Quido Reni.

The fourth grade history class has begun the study of the Virginia Colony.

The fifth grade language class has learned the correct usage of the words "lie" and "lay" also memorized the poem "November."

The sixth grade pupils have been giving special topic reports in geography this week.

Vera Ecke has been absent the past two days, owing to illness.

The Civic Class are studying taxes. They will work problems in Arithmetic to correlate with the subject.

The seventh grade geography class have completed their study of Germany. Our next topic is Belgium.

Johanna Bauer gave a very interesting talk on Thomas Edison last Thursday afternoon.

The upper room pupils have established a "Who’s Who in America" unit. Each pupil is expected to contribute a talk on some one noted person. After the talk has been given, the pupils will decided whether or not, that particular person‘s picture should be hung in our Art Gallery.
