SCHOOL NOTES

A short Thanksgiving program was given on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. F. Mathias, Mrs. L W. Smiley, Mrs. Beach, Mrs. Chas. Bush and Mrs. F. B. Petermann attended the program.

The pupils of both rooms enjoyed the two new records "In a Clock Store" and "A Hunt in the Black Forest" during opening exercises Friday Morning.

Parts have been given out for the Christmas program and we are busy practicing.

Verna Ecke is still absent from school on account of illness.

There is quite a number of pupils absent from school today owing to the fact that they ate too much turkey Thanksgiving day.

Roy Ostenson has been absent from school on account of sore eyes.

The second grade language class have started to make alphabet booklets. We have learned the letters A, B, C and learned a rhyme for each one.

The third grade are studying trades and occupations. This week we studied about the blacksmith and the carpenter. We made free hand cuttings to illustrate their work and their tools.

The fourth grade history class gave some interesting talk on how they spent Thanksgiving Day last Friday.

A number of fourth and fifth grade pupils have completed their Reading Circle work for this year.

The fifth grade language class has been having work on the formation of plural nouns the past week.

The sixth grade geography class has completed the study of the South Central Group of States.
