DORCHESTER MAN DIES IN SLEEP

Rites Monday for William Schroeder Dorchester-- Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Peace Evangelical Reformed Church here for William Peter Schroeder, 76, who was found dead in bed about 7:30 Friday morning. He had complained of not feeling well the past week, but had previously appeared to be in good health.

Friends may call at the Fuchsgruber Funeral Home here. The Rev. Fred Kollath will conduct the final rites which will be followed by burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Schroeder was born Feb. 23, 1881, on his present farm, 1 1/4 miles north of Dorchester, where he spent his entire life. Since his retirement 10 years ago, the farm has been operated by his unmarried son, Albert. The late Mr. Schroeder's wife, the former Emma Braun, died May 11, 1950. They were married here May 2, 1906.

Besides the son at home, other survivors include another son, Henry schroeder, Woodstock, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Vincent (Anna) Tauchen, Dorchester; one sister, Mrs. Anna Lindau, Owen; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
