A boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Barkley, Feb 9th.

Mrs. Richard Wells, who has been confined to her home with a broken limb for some time, is now able to be about again and is rapidly recovering from the injury.

Died, at La Crosse, in St Francis hospital, Feb. 7, 1907, after a brief illness, John Lucas Werel, aged 70 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Albert Waters received some photographs from his brother, Frank, who is located at Sargis, ND, this week. The views showed Frank’s store and house after the recent snow storms. His house, which is a one-story structure, was partially buried in the snow, and at the front of the store was a drift twenty feet high.

A complete surprise was enjoyed on Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Brown at their home near the village Saturday evening. Quite a large number were present, including several from Fairchild and Alma Center.
