Arch, Louis (20 June 1869 - 31 January 1949)

Funeral services for Louis Arch, 69, will be held Friday morning from the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Burial will be made in the Willard Cemetery. He died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. His health had been failing for several years. The body will lie in state at the Arch home, six miles southwest of Greenwood, beginning Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. Arch was born June 20, 1869, in Yugoslavia, and came to the Untied States in 1901. He settled in Chicago, where he was married to Elizabeth Wodanive in 1905. They moved to Greenwood in 1917 and settled on the farm where he lived for 32 years.

He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.

Surviving are two sons, Ernest, who lives at home, and Frank, of Greenwood; three daughters, Julia, Elizabeth, and Angeline, all of Milwaukee; two brothers, Joseph of Milwaukee and Martin, who lives in Europe.

Mrs. Arch died in 1932. Three children preceded him in death; Steven, who was killed in World War II; William, who died in an auto crash, and Louis, who died at the age of four.
