Funeral services for Miss Amy Klein, Unity, were held Friday, May 21, at the Trinity Lutheran church, Unity.  The Rev. Robert Sutherland officiated, and burial was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery.  The body lay in state from Thursday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.

Pallbearers were Gilbert Wiedenhoeft, Theodore Domer, William Siegrist, Earl Butlr, Nyole Creed and Alfred Johnson.

Miss Klein died of a stroke at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday May 18, at the age of 73, in St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield.

Miss Klein had suffered a fractured hip last September, and has been in the convalescent home in Marshfield since then.  It was there that the stroke occurred on Monday.  She was then taken to the hospital. 

A life long resident of Unity, Miss Klein was born May 22, 1891.  She spent most of her life working as a clerk in Gib’s Market in Unity.

She was a member of the Ladies’ Aid of the Trinity Lutheran church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Amy Klein is survived by one brother, Ed Klein, Beaver Dam, and two sisters, Mrs. Allie Brunkhorst of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Myrtle Falck, Milwaukee.

Music during the service was sung by the Trinity Lutheran church choir, accompanied by Mrs. Ansel Messer.

Among out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Robert Brunkhorst, Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Forest MacDonald, Beloit, Mrs. Earl Zimmerman of Madison, Kenneth Brunkhorst, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Arlyn Brunkhorst, Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Brunkhorst, Auburndale, and Otto Weyhmiller of Loyal, and friends from Unity and vicinity.
