Helm, Frances (17 May 1894 – 14 Apr 1966)

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Frances Helm, 71, Loyal, who died at 1 A.M. Thursday, April 14 at the Marshfield Convalescent Home Monday, April 18 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. She had resided at the convalescent home since February.

The Rev. Norbert E. King pastor of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church officiated at the 10:30 A.M. services. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

The former Frances Bauer was born May 17, 1894 in Loyal, and had been a lifetime resident of the community. Her marriage to Axel helm, who preceded her in death April 6, 1957, took place May 23, 1916 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church., Loyal.

She was a member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society.

Pallbearers were David McKenna, Frank Degenhardt, Richard Miles, James Bertz, W. A. TGeisen and Bernard Rueth.

The Altar Society attended the funeral in a body.

Survivors are two sons, James, Loyal; and Richard, Menomonee Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Florence) Christensen, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Mrs. Douglas (Delores) Adair, Milwaukee; five brothers, Paul and Rollie Bauer, Loyal; Oscar Bauer, Spencer; Edwin Bauer, Marshfield; land Laurence Bauer of Montana; four sisters, Mrs. Albert (Irene) Froeba, Marshfield; Mrs. Loretta Froeba, Loual; Mrs. Roman (Martina) Renz, Jefferson; and 13 grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters and a brother.
