Melvin, Genevieve (28 OCT 1939)

Miss Genevieve Melvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Melvin of the Town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.) and Rolland Gasch, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gasch of the Town of Hull, were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon at two o’clock at the Medford Courthouse. Justice J. C. Poirer read the marriage service.

The bride was gowned in formal white satin trimmed with seed pearls at the neckline and tiny white satin buttons down the back. Her long tulle veil was made cap effect and fastened with orange blossoms. She wore a shoulder corsage of mixed flowers.

Mrs. Henry Weideman, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her floor length gown was of rose colored taffeta.

Miss Irene Voge attended as bridesmaid in a blue taffeta. Both wore silver headbands, wrist corsages of mixed flowers and white slippers.

Henry Weideman, brother-in-law of the bride, was the best man; Archie Melvin, brother of the bride, also attended the groom.

The home of the bride’s parents was decorated in streamers of white, rose and blue for the reception and wedding supper, which followed the ceremony. A large wedding cake formed the centerpiece of the bridal table. About thirty guests were present.
