De Lap, Frank A. #2 (15 JAN 1870 - 2 JUL 1939)

Masonic rites were conducted Stevens Point for Frank Austin De Lap, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Funeral service were conducted at the Rosenow Funeral Home and Interment made in Forest Cemetery.

Mr. DeLap, a former resident of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died suddenly from a heart attack, Sunday afternoon at 1:10 o’clock at his home at 903 Shaurette St., Stevens Point. He had been in ill health for some time but was able to be up and about his home.

Frank Austin De Lap was born on Jan. 15, 1870 at Viroqua. He was married to Madelein Charpier of Chippewa Falls, Nov. 2, 1897. Mr. De Lap was a conductor on the old Wisconsin Central and operated on a run on the Soo Line with Abbotsford as a terminal for many years. Mr. and Mrs. De Lap and daughter Audrey, lived in their home here, the house just north of the Neitzel Garage and Service Station on Highway 13, until about 1925, when they moved to Stevens Point.

Mr. De Lap was a member of the Order of Eastern Star during his residence here. At the time of his death he was a member of Evergreen Lodge No. 93, Forest Chapter No. 34 and Crusade Commandery No. 17, Masonic organizations.

He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ozro T. Premo of Milltown; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Leslie Hyland of Edgerton, and a brother, William De Lap of Madison.
