Zahorka, Theresa (2 JUN 1863 - 5 SEP 1939)

Funeral services for Mrs. John Zahorka will be conducted Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Catholic Church in Milan. The Rev. Frank Brickl will officiate.

Mrs. John Zahorka, age 76, died Tuesday, Sept. 5th, 1939, at her home in the Town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.), following a heart attack, suffered last Saturday. Mrs. Zahorka had been in poor health the last few years.

The deceased was born Theresa Cerny, June 2, 1863, in Bohemia and came to America 53 years ago. In 1883 she was married to John Zahorka and lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 42 years ago they left there and came to Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) and farmed when this part of the state was a wilderness. They have made their home on their present farm in the Town of Holton for 22 years.

Six years ago, July 26th, Mr. and Mrs. Zahorka celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Zahorka is survived by her husband, two sons, John, at home, and Wenzel at Athens; three daughters, Mrs. Emil Schade of Milan, Mrs. Bernard Schade, Town of Holton, and Mrs. Anna Dunne, Park Falls; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
