Erickson, Lisa (18 February 1863 - 29 March 1949)

Mrs. Iver B. Erickson, 86, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Russell Drake, 234 Clay Street, Tuesday, March 29, 1949, at 5:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today from the Cole Funeral Home, where the body will lay in state until it is taken to Hudson for final rites Saturday. Burial will be made in the Willow River Cemetery at Hudson. Rev. Virgil Nulton will officiate.

Lisa Vaarstad was born February 18, 1863, in Vardel Norway. She came to the United States in 1879 and lived in Onalaska. She was married to Iver Erickson in September, 1884. They moved to Hudson in 1902, where she lived until two years ago, when she came here to make her home with her daughter.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Mr. Erickson preceded her in death in August, 1920.

She is survived by six children: Robert Erickson, Ida Erickson, George Erickson, Kennan; Mrs. L. H. (Myrtle) McCall, Panama, C. Z.; Mrs. A. B. (Emilie) Swanlund, Afton, Minn.; Mrs. Russell C. (Bertha) Drake, Neillsville. Twelve grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Martin Erickson, also survive.

Three children are deceased: Hans, Amos and Mrs. R. E. (Esther) Dumond.
