Knaak, Edna M. (7 July 1933 - 23 Aug. 2008)

SPENCER Edna M. Knaak, 75, of Spencer, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at the House of the Dove, under the tender care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at Christ the King Catholic Church. The Rev. Charles Stoetzel will officiate. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon until service time Thursday at the church. Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Knaak was born July 7, 1933, in Iron Mountain, Mich. Edna was raised in an orphanage. She attended Milwaukee area schools.

Edna was married to Albert C. Knaak and the couple later divorced.

Mrs. Knaak was employed at Allen-Bradley Mfg. in Milwaukee, retiring in 1995, when she moved to Spencer.

She enjoyed flower gardening and working in her yard, as well as reading and working jigsaw puzzles. Edna also volunteered her time preparing meals for the Ponderosa House in Spencer. She also enjoyed the companionship of her cats.

Mrs. Knaak was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Spencer.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Albert (Jane) Knaak, Oak Creek, Daniel Knaak, Sturtevant, James Knaak, Milwaukee, Joan Eidson, Ringle, and Kenneth Knaak, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren further survive Edna.
