Sybeldon, Pauline (12 JUN 1872 - 19 NOV 1939)

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Sybeldon, who died Sunday evening, were held Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. The Rev. C. D. Brady sang the requiem high mass. Interment followed in the Abbotsford Cemetery. The pallbearers were Frank Beil, Joe Moore, Henry Duellman, Harry Orth, Wm. Bogaard and Jack Mateofsky.

Mrs. Pauline Sybeldon was born Pauline Cropidloski in Germany, June 12, 1872. At the age of three she came to America and lived in Ohio, later moving to a farm near Stevens Point.

On Nov. 28, 1890 she was married at Bessemer, Mich., to Ed Sybeldon. They made their home in Hurley until 1903, when they moved to Abbotsford, Wis. Mr. Sybeldon, who was employed as a pump repairer for the Soo Line, preceded her in death, four years ago.

One son, Jack, also preceded her in death, five years ago. Mrs. Sybeldon had been in poor health for some time and recently fractured her hip, at which time she was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls, where she died Sunday evening at 6:50.

Mrs. Sybeldon was a member of the Catholic Ladies’ Altar Society.

She is survived by two sons, Henry of Racine and Ed of Abbotsford; five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Lester, Mrs. Helen Fagan and Mrs. Rose Montgomery, all of Chicago; Miss Clara Sybeldon, Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Joe Fisher of Abbotsford, Wis. Fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were Henry Sybeldon of Racine; Mrs. Agnes Lester, Mrs. Rose Montgomery, Mrs. Helen Fagan and Miss Rosebud Sybeldon of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sybeldon of Hurley; Frank and Anton Sybeldon an d Mrs. Joe Kluck of Hatley; Miss Clara Sybeldon, Mrs. Jack Sybeldon and daughter, Gladys, and Mr. Al Popple of Chippewa Falls.
