Downer, Annice (18 February 1889 - 5 March 1949)

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Gilbertson Funeral Home for Mrs. Neil Downer, who passed away at her home in the Town of York, Saturday, March 5, 1949.

The Rev. Lee H. Holmes, pastor of the Loyal Methodist Church, officiated and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery.

Annice McHone Downer was born in Richland County February 18, 1889, and received her education in Richland County. She was married to Neil Downer December 1, 1909, and they have lived on their present farm for 33 years.

Surviving besides her husband are two children, Ross, Granton, and Althea, Mrs. Alfred Grimm, Stratford; and six grandchildren. Her brothers are: Virgil and Freeman McHone, Fremont; Frances McHone, Beloit; Lester McHone, Ladysmith; and sister, Mrs. Don McHone, Hastings, Minn.
