Abbotsford, Wis. - Sept. 4, 1919

The village schools opened Tuesday with a good attendance.

Another restaurant has been opened up in the Young building on Main street.

Clarence Parish, of Waupaca, formerly a resident here, was a visitor in the village Tuesday.

Chas. Blake visited the fore part of the week with his family returning to Spencer Wednesday.

Fred Dietsche has rented the McCabe farm south of the village and moved his family onto same.

The Modern Woodmen and Royal Neighbors enjoyed their annual picnic at Riverside on Labor Day.

Ferd Weidemann has bought the Hinz farm of 80 acres in the town of Holton, consideration $8,000.

Wm. Johnston has sold his farm north of town to parties from Iowa and will again move into the village.

N. G. Tabor has sold his residence in this village to a party from Loyal who will occupy same in a short time.

A light vote was polled Tuesday on the soldiers bonus referendum, fifty votes being cast of which 32 were for and 18 against.

Jos. P. Kannia who has been visiting in the eastern states for a couple weeks past just returned on Thursday last - still a single man.

E. F. Wollenberg and family of Greenwood were visitors here on Monday on their return from an auto trip to Boulder Lake.

John Sybelden is having a new foundation laid under the dwelling he purchased of Mrs. Dickinson recently, and making other necessary improvements.
