ALEXANDER CHRIS BURIED MONDAY

Funeral services for Alexander Francis Chris, who died at his home Friday, were held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Abbotsford, Monday morning at 9:30 A. M. with Rev. Charles D. Brady officiating. Interment followed in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Alexander F. Chris was born April 2, 1907 and died at the age of 31 years. He had been ill with Parkinson’s disease (shaking palsy) for sixteen years. He attended the Abbotsford High School until his Junior year when he had to discontinue on account of his illness, which had become more serious year after year.

The deceased is survived by his father and mother, five sisters, Mrs. Lillian Hammel and Mrs. Bertha Brick, Chicago; Mrs. Rose Knaack, Owen; Mrs. Clara Klienstick, Gary, Indiana; and Lucianne, at home; three brothers, Steve, Mercer; Ben, Gary, Indiana; and Clarence, at home.

The pallbearers were Lawrence and Vernon Peterson, Frank Duellman, Clarence and Vernon Kramer and Lawrence Jahowski, of Mercer.

Those in charge of the beautiful floral offerings were Evelyn Toelle, Nila Mateofsky, Elainne and Lenore Johnson, Alice Kramer and Frances Kunze.

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mrs. Fred Brick, Mrs. Claude Hammel and daughter Claudette, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Klienstick and son Gregory, and Ben Chris of Gary, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Knaack and daughter Imogene and sons Donald and Charles and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Welker, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thorson, Withee; Steve Chris, Frank Chris and Lawrence Jakowski, Mercer; Mrs. Russell Spears, Medford and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Van Huizen of Owen.
