Schultz, Walter W. (2 December 1885 - 7 July 1949)

Funeral services for Walter W. Schultz, 63, who died July 7, 1949, at 10:15 a.m. at Fort Snelling Veterans’ Hospital, were held Saturday at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, the Rev. N. J. Dechant officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Bergemann Funeral Home.

Walter W. Schultz was born December 2, 1885, at Mayville. He was the son of Henry and Anna Schultz. He spent the past 49 years in Clark County, and was employed by the highway department for 20 years. In September 1942, he was married to Susan Seidelman Puttkamer at Neillsville. One son, Jimmie, was born to this union.

Mr. Schultz is survived by his wife, his son, Jimmie, and four step-children; Mrs. Harold (Helen) Kren, Marian, Sue Ann and Billy Puttkamer; and by a sister, Mrs. Grover (Ella) Huntley.

Pallbearers at the funeral of Walter Schultz were Joe Zimmerman, George Prochazka, Elmer Anderson, Erwin Braatz, Ernest Snyder, and Fred Wall.

Mrs. Rose Schiller, Mrs. Sadie Haight, Mrs. Agnes Keller and Mrs. Jessie Roberts were in charge of the flowers. Military rites were in charge of the American Legion.

Relatives from out of town attending were William Puttkamer, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Max Gusse, and Herbert Miller of Mayville; Mr. and Mrs. Arne Backen and daughter, Marian, Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Philip Schultz of Hatfield; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Seidelman and son, Walter, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. William Seidelman, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Anderegg and Edwin Anderegg of Loyal.
