Before the flower decked altar of St. John’s Lutheran church, Miss Holdina Viegut, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Viegut of the town of Wien, and Walter McKee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward McKee, Town of Johnson, were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony, Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The Rev. Ernest Notbohm read the marriage service. Mrs. Ernest Notbohm played the wedding march as the bridal party entered the church. Mrs. Henry Bauman sang softly, "Savior Lead Me Lest I Stray" and also "Savior Like A Shepherd Lead Us", before the ceremony.

In her entrained gown of white satin the bride advanced to the altar. Her full length tulle veil was held in place by a pearl rhinestone tiara with bands of tulle tied under the chin. The bride’s gown was a tight bodice fitted dress with a Queen Anne collar, long full sleeves with pearl clips at the neck and tiny satin buttons down the back. Her shower bouquet was of white asters, roses, and baby chrysantheums.

Miss Georgette Rousseau, Brokaw, niece of the bride, who was maid of honor, was attired in a gown of acqua silk organza, floor length, puffed sleeves, high neck, tied with a long pink transparent velvet sash. She wore silver sandals and a double shoulder length veil attached to garland of flowers. She carried an arm bouquet of roses, asters and chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids wore floor length gowns moussoline de soie in pastel shades with matching shoulder veils held in place by a flower headdress. Each wore a wrist bouquet of matching colors. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Clarence Viegut, sister-in-law of the bride; Dorothy McKee, sister of the groom; Beatrice Bahr and Marcia Blank, cousins of the groom.

The groom was attended by Harold Viegut, brother of the bride.

A floor length frock of yellow ruffled organdy with a Poke bonnet to match, satin streamers hung down to the hem of the dress was worn by the little flower girl, Charmaine Viegut, niece of the bride. She carried a small colonial bouquet of mixed flowers.

Buddy Viegut, nephew of the bride, acted as ring bearer. He was dressed in a white linen suit and carried the rings on a white satin pillow.

The bride’s mother was attired in navy and white sheer with matching accessories. The groom’s mother wore a black crepe dress trimmed with gold. Each wore shoulder bouquets of snap dragons and asters.

One hundred guests were entertained at a reception during the afternoon and at a six o’clock dinner at the home of the bride’s brother, Clarence Viegut. The rooms were decorated with streamers of white and pastel colors and garden flowers. In the evening a wedding dance was given at the Trianon Gardens.
