Hautamaki, Rueben (4 JUN 1927 - 19 MAY 1946)

Rueben Hautamaki, 18, passed away at a Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Sunday, May 19, 1946, suffering from hemorrhage effects which happened about two weeks previous to his being hospitalized. He was admitted to the hospital May 18. The youth had been the victim of poor health all of his life, curtailing his pleasures and activities. He attended the South Bright School and graduated from the eighth grade.

Rueben was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hautamaki, Owen, Wis. (Clark Co., Wis.), route 1. He was born on June 4, 1928, in the Town of Longwood. His passing away is mourned by his parents, four sisters, Mrs. (Ella) Kivisto, Negaunee, Mich.; Mrs. (Esther) Buss, Sheboygan Falls; and Mrs. Wm. (Sylvia) Wilson, Owen, and Evely at home; four brothers, William, Vandy and Reino of Owen, and Edward at home, besides his many friends and neighbors who grieved at his long illness and early death.

Final rites were read Wednesday, May 22, from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) by Rev. Bundgaard of Withee. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery. During the service two vocal duets were sung by Mrs. Dan Arola and Irene Halmi, "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye." Dan Arola furnished the accompaniment at the piano.

Pallbearers at the service were: Ed Salo, David Stenstrom, Willard Winslow, Harold Sorenson, Allen and Julius Gehrke. Flower girls were, Mrs. Lawrence Schnoor, Lillian Salo, Armilla Bangle and Ernestine Winslow.
