Lutz, Martha #2 (18 MAY 1946)

A quiet wedding ceremony was solemnized at the Lutheran Parsonage at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) by Rev. G. Heilman, uniting Martha Lutz, daughter of Mrs. Anna Lutz, Owen, and Norman Meinhardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Moritz Meinhardt, in marriage Saturday afternoon at two thirty o’clock.

The couple were attended by bridesmaid, Mrs. Walter Petke, a cousin of the groom, and Herman Lutz, best man, brother of the bride.

For the occasion Miss Lutz wore a brown suit with aqua accessories, and a corsage of yellow tea roses. Her bridesmaid wore a purple dress with white accessories, and wore a corsage of white tea roses.

Both the groom and his attendants wore navy blue suits and boutonnieres of white carnations.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Meinhardt are well known in the community. She attended the Owen schools and for the past three years has been employed at the Legault Hospital. The groom attended the Greenwood schools, and is now employed as chief fireman at the Western Condensing Co.

At seven-thirty that evening a dinner was served for immediate relatives at the home of Mr. and Mrs. August Meinhardt. Later a reception was given for the couple. The Meinhardt home was specially decorated with lilacs and apple blossoms. A two tier wedding cake was the table’s centerpiece.

The newlyweds left on a week’s honeymoon trip through southern Wisconsin and Illinois. After May 25 they will make their home in Owen.

Those from away that attended the wedding were: Otto Lutz, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. John Routhbouer, Chippewa Falls; and Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Leichte, Greenwood.
