Gray, Minnie #2 (12 DEC 1890 - 27 MAY 1946)

A pioneer resident of the Village of Colby, and for the past two years a resident of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), Minnie Gray, 56, succumbed to a long illness at her home at 10 o’clock Sunday morning, May 27.

Last respects will be paid to her on Friday, when funeral services will be conducted at Colby, and interment will be made in the family lot in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Pallbearers at the service will be, Ed and Alex Thede, Irvin Martin, Edwin Strade, Lawrence Weix and Jake Keller.

Minnie Gray, nee Minnie Miller, was born at Curtiss on Dec. 12th, 1890. All of her girlhood was spent at Colby where she grew up and attended the public schools.

On Feb. 24, 1913, she and Herbert Gray were united in marriage, to which union two children, a son and a daughter, were born.

Minnie Gray was a good diligent worker, aiding her husband in development of their farm property near Colby, where they enjoyed a fine home atmosphere for her family until two years ago, when they retired and moved to this city.

Mourning her passing away are her husband, son Justin, Colby; daughter, Mrs. Harold (Myrl) Ludwig, Owen; six sisters, Mollie Clark, Owen; Mary Miller, Sigourney, Iowa; Emma Getz, Cleveland, Ohio; Hattie Burtard, Boston, Mass.; Rose New, Chicago, Ill.; and Selma Ledford, Langley field, Virginia; two brothers, Ernest and William Miller. One brother, Charles, preceded her in death.
