Linsay, Katherine Mae (Marriage - 15 August 1970)

Miss Katherine Mae Linsay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Linsay of Sheboygan, and Dennis T. Zajac, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Zajac of Neillsville, were united in marriage during a candlelight service Saturday by the Rev. George Yons at the United Church of Christ here.

The bride was attired in a white cocktail dress of chiffon-over-satin. A veil of white was attached to her headpiece of white satin bow, with seed pearl flowerets, as she was escorted to the altar by her father. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and stephanotis.

The matron-of-honor, Mrs. Carol Neal of Madison, wore a pale grey dress with yellow accessories and carried a nosegay bouquet of yellow daisies. Mrs. David Boock of Black River Falls, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. She wore an eggshell-colored lace dress over brown and carried a nosegay bouquet of yellow daisies.

Robert Gaier of Neillsville served as bestman, and Wayne Short of Denver, Co. was groomsman.

Mary Peters sang, “A Time for us” from “Romeo and Juliet” accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

A reception, a garden party was held after the ceremony at the Zajac’s residence.

The bride is a member of Sigma Sorority and graduated May 30 from Eau Claire State University with Major in speech therapy. The groom also graduated on May 30 from Eau Claire, with a major in biology and a minor in psychology. They have teaching positions at Merced, Ca. and were to leave Neillsville Wednesday.
