Albright, Alta E. (Marriage - 13 August 1949)

The Methodist Church in Lake Mills was the scene Saturday at 8 p.m. of the candlelight service, in which Miss Alta E. Albright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Albright, Lake Mills, became the bride of Jack H. Casler, son of Mrs. Hazel Casler, Madison. The Caslers are former residents of Neillsville.

Given in marriage by her father, Miss Albright wore a gown styled with a cap-sleeved bodice and flared peplum of bouffant skirt of triple sheer. An illusion sweetheart headdress trimmed with lace appliqué work and pearls held her chapel-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses and pink gladioli.

Fred Engelke of Madison was Mr. Casler’s best man. The ushers were Charles Harrington, Jr., Madison, and David Albright, Lake Mills, brother of the bride.

The Misses June Porth, Elizabeth Brashi and Dorothy Hendrickson assisted at the reception in the church parlors after the ceremony.

For the wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the bride wore a light blue summer suit with white accessories and a corsage of white roses.

The newlyweds are now at home at 205 North Pinskney St.

The bride attended Madison college and has been employed as a secretary in the bureau of probation and parole for the past 3 ½ years. Mr. Casler is a graduate of Neillsville High School, with the class of 1943, attended the University of Wisconsin and is now a surveyor with the state highway commission.
