Hebert, Kristine (Marriage - 15 August 1970)

Given in marriage by her father, Kristine Hebert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hebert of Rt. 1 Unity, became the bride of Dean Schweiger, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schweiger of Rt. 2 Loyal, Saturday. The Rev. Arthur Rasch performed the double-ring ceremony at 1:30 p.m. before 200 guests in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Colby. The church altar was decorated in mixed fall colors.

The bride was attired in a high-waist gown of white lace Alencon, with a chapel train. The skirt was an A-line, and a shoulder-length veil fell from a cluster of white roses and carnations. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and white carnations.

Miss Ellen Hain of Rochester, Mn was maid-of-honor. Miss Yvette Englebretson of Loyal was bridesmaid. Both wore sunset orange crepe empire waist gowns accented with white lace and blue and green streamers. They had yellow and bronze ‘mums as their bouquets and headpieces.

Lionel Schweiger of Marshfield served as bestman. Jess Zvolena of Loyal was groomsman. Gary Abel of Racine and Raymond Neustedt of Loyal ushered. Wayne Seefeld sang, accompanied by Mrs. Vernon Boss.

A reception was held at unity Memorial Hall, with 350 guests attending. The hall was decorated in orange and white crepe paper arranged as streamers and bows.

The bride attended Stout State University in Menomonie, where she will be a senior this fall. The groom attended Wisconsin State University in River Falls. He is employed at the Loyal Canning Company.

After a wedding trip through Wisconsin they will make their home in Menomonie starting September 2.
