Hubing, Esther (11 January 1889 - 19 August 1949)

Mrs. Henry Hubing of 165 East Second Street, died on Friday, August 19, 1949, at 10:30 a.m. following a heart attach.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home Monday, the Rev. N. J. Dechant officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Esther Hake was born January 11, 1889, at Jefferson. She came to Clark County with her parents and they located on a farm in the Town of Grant.

She was married to Henry Hubing on November 22, 1910, at Neillsville. After their marriage they moved to Montana, where they lived on a ranch for 16 years. They then bought a farm in the Town of York and resided there until 1925, when they sold the farm and moved to Neillsville, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She is survived by her husband and three daughters: Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Dern of Neillsville; Mrs. Marvin (Arsula) Westphal of Augusta; and Mrs. George (Lorrain) Mellon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Four grandchildren, a brother, Warren Hake of Neillsville, and two sisters, Mrs. Malina Steinke of Fort Atkinson and Mrs. Nellie Daniels of Whitewater, also survive.

A daughter, Irene, died in infancy, and a brother, Rush Hake, also preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were: William, Arthur, George and Charles Hubing, Dale Hake, and Claude Westphal.

Persons from out-of-town attending the rites included: Mr. and Mrs. George Mellon and daughter, Lanette, of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Westphal and son, Monwell, of Augusta; William Hubing, Terry, Mont.; Mrs. Frank Root of Knowlton; and Mrs. George Beaver of Granton.

Mrs. Arthur Hubing, Mrs. Claude Westphal and Mrs. Charles Hubing were in charge of the floral offerings.
