Moeller, Susan Anna (Marriage - 20 August 1949)

Susan Anna Moeller of Pittsville, daughter of Adam Moeller, became the bride of James Oliver Troemner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Troemner of Friendship, August 20, 1949, at 2 p.m. at the home of the bride. The Rev. A. H. Moog, the Lutheran pastor of Pittsville, performed the ceremony.

The home was decorated with bouquets of garden flowers, pastel paper streamers and rosettes. The bride chose as her gown a blue petal down crepe. She wore a shoulder corsage of pastel tinted gladioli.

Mrs. Marvin Mallory, the bride’s sister, served as matron of honor. She was dressed in pale yellow crepe with a shoulder corsage of white gladioli. Allen Troemner, the groom’s brother of Friendship, acted as best man.

A wedding reception for 25 persons was held at the bride’s home for all the close relatives.

The bride is a graduate of Granton High School with the class of 1948, and attended Wood County Normal for one term. She will continue her schooling this fall.

The groom was graduated from the Adams-Friendship High School. He has taken three years of mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin and will continue with his education this fall. He also served in World War II. The young couple is now on a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin.

Guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Troemner and son, Allan, of Friendship; Rev. and Mrs. A. H. Moog and children of Pittsville; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moeller and two children; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Mallory and two daughters, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Schafer and family; and Beverly Ziemendorf.
