Roach, Charlotte (17 APR 1943)

Miss Charlotte Roach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Roach of Menomonie, and Pfc. Glen C. Drake of Loyal, were married Saturday, Apr. 17, at 5:30 p.m., at the post chapel of the Proving Ground, Aberdeen, Md.

Chaplain William W, Wright performed the double ring ceremony before an altar of glowing tapers.

Mrs. A. G. Drake, mother of the groom, the bride’s only attendant, wore a jersey floral print street dress with light blue accessories. Pfc. Erwin A. Bialowiez and Pfc. Elmer J. Klossner attended the groom.

For the informal wedding the bride chose a dusty pink wool dressmaker suit with black accessories.

Mrs. Drake is a graduate of Barron high school and of the Stout Institute at Menomonie. While attending Stout she was a member of the Philomathean Literary Society. After graduating she taught home economics in the high school here for 2i/2 years and at present is teaching at the Purdy Junior high in Marshfield.

Private Drake is a graduate of the Loyal high school with the class of 1936. Before entering the armed forces in December, 1942, he was employed in Wisconsin Rapids and Chicago.
