Unity - Apr. 26, 1954

UNITY - Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ewert entertained at a dinner Sunday in celebration of their 53rd wedding anniversary. Guests included Mrs. Irene Lynn, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. George Strohman, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ewert and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Witte, Riplinger; and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Lynn and family, town of Brighton.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Binning and son of Minneapolis visited Sunday with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Binning. During the day Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Binning, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Binning and son, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Binning and son, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Binning and family, and Annette and Sandra Erickson were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Anderson in Marshfield.

Six young men were received into membership in the Methodist Church at the morning service on Easter Sunday. They included David, Donald, and Phillip Proft and Russel, Roger and Norman Lang.

Ray Cook and Bill Creed, students at Central State College in Stevens Point, are spending a week’s vacation at their respective homes here.

The Enterprise Homemakers Club will meet Tuesday afternoon, April 27, at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Cook.

Mrs. Roscoe Starkey, Manhattan, Kan., is spending two weeks at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William McNeight.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allar, Sheboygan, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Allar and two children, Milwaukee, spent the weekend with relatives in Unity and vicinity. Gilbert Allar drove to Milwaukee *** Note: A part of the article was cut off and was not available at the time of transcription.

Paul Olson, Appleton, spent Friday and Saturday with his mother and sister, Sharon.

Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ewert were Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Ewert and family, town of Unity.
