Burns, Robert M. (September 29, 1939 - September 27, 2008)

Robert M. Burns, age 68, of Dorchester, formerly of Wheeler, passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Crystal River Nursing Home surrounded by his sister and niece. He was born in Menomonie on Sept. 29, 1939, the son of Morris and Cecilia Theresa (Klosowski) Burns.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Cripps, Plainfield, Ill; a brother Gerald Burns, Abrams; a brother-in-law, George Toman, Waterford; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Burns, Kiel. Robert is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Joan Toman; and brother-in-law, Gordon Cripps.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Father Bert Samsa will preside. Interment will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Town of Beaver Brook, Washburn County. A visitation will be held at the funeral home in Waupaca on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
