Price, Grace (Marriage - 3 September 1949)

Grace Price of Unity was married last Saturday afternoon to Raymond Johnson of Loyal. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Theodore Nelson at the United Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Price of Unity, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sigward Johnson of Loyal.

The bride was attired in white taffeta, having a lace yoke edged with a ruffle and a fitted bodice buttoned down the back; full skirt with bustle, fingertip veil of bridal illusion, edged with Chantilly-lace. Bonnet-type head dress of net, lace mitts. She was given in marriage by her father.

The maid of honor was Mrs. Warren Thomas of Birchwood, Wis., sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Vera Johnson of Greenwood and Bernita Lueck of Greenwood.

The best man was Calvin Johnson of Loyal, brother of the bride. Ushers were Ernest Price of Unity, brother of the bride, and Edward Johnson of Loyal, brother of the groom.

A wedding reception was held for 75 guests in the church basement, which was decorated with pink, green and white streamers, and with dahlias and zinnias.

The young people will reside temporarily with the groom’s parents, pending the completion of their own home. The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School and of the Eau Claire School of Beauty Culture. Her employment has been at the Moderne Beauty Shoppe, Neillsville. The groom is a graduate of Loyal High School. He is employed at the Riplinger Dairy and at his father’s farm.
