Stauffacher, Edna Mae (Marriage –11 September 1949)

Miss Edna Mae Stauffacher of Granton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stauffacher, became the bride of Grant Rose, son of Mrs. Elmer Rose, also of Granton; at the Zion American Lutheran Church on September 11, 1949, at 2:00 o’clock. The Rev. Leonard A. Domke performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white sheer over satin with a long ruffled train, a lace edged finger-tip veil caught with orange blossoms. She also wore a rhinestone necklace with matching earrings, a gift from the groom. Her shower bouquet consisted of red roses and white lilies.

Miss Iva Rose, a sister of the groom from Marshfield, acted as maid of honor, with Naomi Porath of La Crosse and Helen Stauffacher of Monticello as bridesmaids.

Horace Lindekugel of Watertown attended the groom as best man, with Edward Arnold of Pittsville and Harold Stauffacher, a brother of the bride as groomsmen.

A wedding reception and dinner was held at the home of the bride’s parents for approximately 50 guests. The house was decorated with white, blue, yellow and pink streamers, centered with a white bell.

The young couple left immediately on a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells and southern Wisconsin; after which they will be at home on the groom’s farm in the Town of Lynn.
