Nelson, Laura (31 JUL 1946)

Miss Laura Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Nelson of Marshfield, was united in marriage to Henry Miles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mile of Reading, Mich., in a lovely wedding ceremony, read at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 1946, by Rev. Karlo J. Keljo, in the Finish Lutheran Church.

The bride wore a blue gabardine suit with white accessories and a gardenia corsage.

Miss Martha Bendickson, a close friend of the bride, was her only attendant. She wore a suit of gem coral gabardine, with white accessories. Her flowers were gardenias and blue lace flowers.

The bridegroom and his attendant, John Williams, a close friend, each wore oxford grey suits.

At noon a dinner was served to the wedding party and their guests at the Cozy Corner Café, after which the bridal party left for Marshfield, where a reception was given in their honor later that afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents.

The couple will establish their future home in Owen, Wis. (Clark Co., Wis.), where the bridegroom is employed by the Western Condensing Co., and his bride will continue for the time being with her work at the Cozy Corner Café.

Out of town guests and friends that attended the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Nelson, Jefferson; Mr. Neil Shew, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Thorvald Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. William Baum, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson, Owen.
