Rahn, Wanda B. #2 (27 DEC 1946)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in the town Holway, was the scene of a beautiful wedding ceremony at nine o’clock Friday morning, when Miss Wanda Beryl Rahn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rahn, exchanged the sacred vows of matrimony with Arthur Behringer of Colby, Wis. Father Seeboth of Stetsonville read the nuptial rites.

Immediately following the ceremony a breakfast for the bridal party and a few immediate friends, was served at the home of the bride’s parents. At two o’clock that afternoon a dinner was served to more than 40 guests at the Riverside Hotel in Medford, and that evening the couple were honored at a wedding dance given at Merry Ol’ Gardens.

A wedding gown of brocade satin, with full circular fingertip veil, having a wide pattern of appliquéd lace, was worn by the bride. Her bridal attire was completed by wearing a headpiece of the traditional pearlized orange blossoms and wore silver sandals. Her jewelry consisted of white pearls. She carried a white prayer book and white rosary, as she approached the altar of the church.

Maid of honor, Patsy Hamm, Owen, wore a powder blue gown with braid trim, and a blue ribbon headdress. Bridesmaid, Mrs. Wm. Neitzel’s gown was of similar design of yellow net, and she wore a yellow ribbon headdress. Each wore corsages of white lilies.

The groom and his best man, Leo Keffel, Colby, and groomsman, Wm. Neitzel, wore dark brown, double breasted business suits and boutonnieres of white carnations.

The bride was a graduate of the Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) High School with the class of 1942, while Mr. Behringer completed his education by attending the vocational school at Chippewa Falls, where he graduated from an electrical course.

The bride and groom will reside east of Colby where Mr. Behringer recently purchased a tavern business.
