Nowak, Harold B. (22 OCT 1885 - 8 APR 1947)

Harold B. Nowak, 61, was born on Oct. 22, 1885 at Chicago, Ill. Here he spent the early part of his life and on Feb. 6th, 1910, was united in marriage to Marth Brautigan. The couple resided in the city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) for 11 years before moving to Clark County, settling on a farm in the Town of Hoard, which he successfully farmed for 16 years. Nine years ago he sold his place and since that time had resided on a farm in the Town of Deer Creek, in the vicinity of Medford. However, since a year ago he had been the victim of failing health which he succumbed to Tuesday, April 8th, 1947, while hospitalized at the Medford Hospital.

His passing relieves only his suffering, but inflicted a great loss upon his family and those close friends that gained so much enjoyment in his acquaintanceship. His loss is mourned by his wife, six sons, Harold Jr., of Loyal; Lance of Medford, and Robert, Kenneth, Roland and Donald, all of whom are at home, two daughters, Mrs. Laura Voightlander, Curtiss, and Dorothy, at home, two sisters, Mrs. John Lasen, St. Walburg, Canada, and Mrs. Cecelia Ryan of Westboro, and one brother, Arthur of Plano, Ill.

Funeral services were conducted at one-thirty Saturday afternoon, April 12, from the Hartwig-Ruesch Funeral Home at Medford, with Rev. G. O. Krause officiating. Interment was made in the Pine Hill Cemetery at Curtiss.
