Hoefferle, Matthew P. (29 Nov. 1980 - 28 Oct. 2008)

Matthew P. "Heff" Hoefferle, 27, of the village of Withee in Clark County, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will officiate. Private committal services with Matthew's family will take place at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home in Abbotsford, Wis. Matthew was born at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield on Nov. 29, 1980, to Leonard and Doris (Singer) Hoefferle. He attended grade school in Athens and later attended high school in Owen. Matthew was hard worker and held various jobs in the Owen-Withee area including welding and truck driving and painting.

Matt loved driving all kinds of equipment especially tractors, combines, trucks and bikes. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and fishing with friends.

Matthew is lovingly survived by his mother, Doris (Thomas) Kopp of Owen and his paternal grandmother, Marion Yanko of Rib Lake. He is further survived by his sister, Melissa (Allen) Siikarla of Athens; one nephew and three nieces; two stepsisters, Milissa and Michelle; and one stepbrother, Paul; and 11 step nieces and stepnephews. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Hoefferle Sr.; and his brother, Leonard "Weasel" Hoefferle Jr.
