Ivey, Glen E. #2 (20 JAN 1893 - 3 JUL 1947)

Funeral services were held for Glen E. Ivey on Saturday, July 5, by Rev. Holmes at the Methodist Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). Burial was in the church cemetery.

He passed away after a prolonged illness at his home on July 3, 1947, at the age of 54 years.

He was born at West Bend, Iowa, Jan. 20, 1893. When he was six years old the family moved to Millston, Wis., which was his home until he moved with his family to a farm near Owen in 1925.

On Sept. 8, 1919, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Fishel, also of Millston. To them were born five children; Mrs. Margaret Lynn of Chicago, Ill., Ruth who passed away in infancy, Glen, Jr., Virgil and Charles.

Besides his four children and wife, those to mourn him are his father and mother, one sister, Dorothy, of Minneapolis, Minn., and a brother, Everett of Oakland, Calif.

Those who came from a distance to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Jim Griffin and daughters, June and Nadine of Mather; Mrs. Medford Erickson, Paul and Leonard Nelson, Edward Bunde and Will Williams of Millston.

It was his request that the family buy no flowers for the funeral service, but that the money be given to foreign missions. This request has been observed and money by both friends and relatives totaling $40 will be sent to the Oriental Missionary Society.
