Thompson, Clara (12 MAY 1893 - 10 JUL 1947)

Funeral rites were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Curtiss Evangelical Lutheran Church for Miss Clara Thompson, 54, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at 6:45 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital, Wausau.

The Rev. G. E. Borreson officiated at the final rites and burial was made in the family lot in the Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The Marking sisters of Owen sang "In the Garden," and Arthur Lee Lokken sang "Rock of Ages," with Dorothy Thompson organist. Pallbearers were Wayne Olson, Lyman Rued, Neil Green, Edward Krause, John Erickson and Arthur Laabs.

In charge of flowers were Mildred Thompson, Mary Thompson, Carol Erickson, and Gwen Peterson.

Miss Thompson was born at Curtiss May 12, 1893, was educated in the Curtiss Public Schools, and lived on the family farm, north of the Village of Curtiss, all her life. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and it Ladies’ Aid Society.

Surviving are a brother, Alfred Thompson, Curtiss, and four sisters, Miss Minnie Thompson and Miss Esther Thompson, both of Milwaukee, Miss Alma Thompson, at home, and Mrs. Orrin (Thea) Hill, Reno, Nevada.
