The Colby post-office changed hands last Sunday. Sam J. Schaffer, the senior hereof, assuming the duties of postmaster, and moved the office into the building of R. B. It will the be aim of the present incumbent to so conduct the affairs of the office, that when his successor is appointed and qualified, he can step down and out leaving as good a record as Mr. W. leaves. If that is accomplished, he will be satisfied.

The G.A.R. boys camp fire and dance, last evening, was a success. Colby Hall being crowded from early in the evening until early in the morning.

Beans were served from 6:30 p.m., until eveybody had all they wanted to eat.

Walbridge Birthday

A large number of our little folks gathered at the residence of G. J. Walbridge, last Thursday afternoon, October 29th, to celebrate the occasion of Winnie‘s sixth birthday. Mrs. Walbridge had everything imaginable prepared for the comfort and pleasure of Winnie’s little guests and they all enjoyed themselves, as only children can, until eight o’clock in the evening.
