Irvin Anthony Ketterhagen was born October 10, 1933, in Stanley, WI, to Raymond and Agnes (Micke) Ketterhagen. His mother died when he was six weeks old, and he was raised by his father and grandmother, Elizabeth Ketterhagen, on the family farm. Irvin received his education at Busy Bee School in the Town of Worden. He was united in marriage to Jean Thompson on December 10, 1977, in Neillsville. Irvin farmed on the family farm for many years in the Town of Worden. He was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Rock Dam Rod & Gun Club, served as treasurer for the Catholic Order of Foresters, and served as supervisor for the Township of Worden. Irvin loved spending time with his family and friends, was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, taking yearly hunting trips to Colorado and fishing trips to Lake Michigan, working in the woods, and his dog, Fred. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and throwing horseshoes.

When family, friends, or neighbors were in need, he was always there to lend a hand, and whether it was work or play, he gave 110%. There was never a dull moment with Irvin.
